Wraparound is a strength-based process that centers on the family unit. Wraparound
Coordinators work with families that have at least one child at-risk for out of home
placements.
Coordinators help families fortify their strengths and problem-solve weakness
areas. Both formal supports (such as counseling) and informal supports (such as meetings
with friends or neighbors) are used to build caring networks around the participating
families.
The goal of Wraparound is to help children remain safely in their parent's or
guardian's home.
Child and Family Services currently offers Wraparound services in Marquette, Alger,
Delta, Dickinson, Iron, Mackinac,
Menominee, and Schoolcraft Counties.
