Family Outreach Worker

.

Our Family Outreach Worker assists families in cooperating with, and in the completion of, court orders resulting from child abuse, neglect, and/or substance abuse issues. The FOW's goal is to reunify parents and children more quickly, insure the home environment is safe, and help increase the Family Court's confidence in the family's cooperation with, and completion of, court ordered activities. The FOW is required to visit with referred families a minimum of twice a week (at least one visit will be unannounced). During these Home Visits, the FOW will provide support for newly recovered parents and teach parenting skills. Additionally, the FOW may administer random drug and alcohol tests.
