Child & Family Services of the Upper Peninsula, Inc.
Serving Children and Families in Michigan's Upper Peninsula Since 1919
Child and Family Services of the Upper Peninsula, in collaboration
with the Chippewa County Department of Human Services, offers
"From Decisions to Actions", a program serving at risk youth ages
12-17 in Chippewa County.

"From Decisions to Actions" is an educational program addressing
youth issues (in the community, school, or home) that could lead to
juvenile delinquency problems. Classes run a minimum of ten
weeks and culminate in Graduation for those completing the
program.

Parents are required to meet separately from children attending the
program, and receive separate instruction. Mentors and advocates
are established for each participating youth. A specific curriculum is
followed, offering workbooks, classroom learning, and speakers
specific to juvenile issues. Classes are scheduled several times
each year based on need. With the same curriculum, but designed
for a younger audience, the "Fred and Ted" class (geared toward
youth 6-11 years old) is also offered as the need arises.
